Virtual keyboard to enable voice input on Nokia N9
Quick Voice Input Keyboard is a virtual keyboard for Nokia N9. It transcribes speech into text using Google's Voice Search services and write it back to the currently application. You can use it to write SMS, instant messages, emails or to search contacts, applications and the web. It's a virtual keyboard and it can be used in place of any other virtual keyboard you have on your Nokia N9.
INSTALLATION/UPGRADE: Quick Voice Input Keyboard is available only on the Nokia Store. Once you have installed the virtual keyboard the phone MUST BE RESTARTED: use the power button on the right of your N9 to shut it down, once the phone is turned off press the button again to power it on.
CONFIGURATION: Once the phone has been restarted open the app Voice Input, identified by the icon , to configure the keyboard:
Quick Voice Keyboard Enabled/Disabled: this switch must be set to ON; when it's ON, the label's text will be Enabled
Quick Voice Keyboard is Active/Not active: this switch must be set to ON; when it's ON, the label's text will be Active
Accurate transcription enabled/disabled, higher network usage/lower network usage: this switch must be set to ON to improve transcription quality; when set to off your voice will be recorder with a lower quality to minimize network trafic. Useful on a 3G connection (especially for who have not a flat-rate data plan), but it gives a poorer experience in transcription
Language: Pressing this button you'll get a dialog with a list of languages. The language you select here will'be used for transcription
